One of the best parts of being a newborn photographer is the obvious - meeting brand new squishy babies. I get transported back to those first few days after my own kids' births when I photograph a newborn session. I'm a mom to two daughters, so I know how those first few days and weeks can be exhausting, chaotic, but also filled with so much love and joy. And being a Pittsburgh Newborn Photographer means I get to document all of that joy and love that fills your life when you bring your newborn home. This newborn session took place in the M family's home. In-home newborn sessions are the absolute best. New parents (and frankly - anyone) are always more comfortable in their own home during a session - You are in your own element where it's easier to be yourself, which makes it easy to get those natural photographs everyone wants. There are so many reasons to love in-home newborn sessions.
The M family welcomed their first child, Colson in July, and their newborn session was a dream. Colson was just days old when I captured these sweet memories, and was still in that always-sleepy phase babies are in for about the first two weeks of life. I love seeing new parents with their first child - the love in their eyes when they look at their newborn. The love the parents have for each other that is obvious through the tender looks at one another - the soft kisses on mom's forehead - the looks of absolute wonderment at their newborn. It's truly heart-warming. Colson woke up for the last thirty minutes of the session, which was great because I love getting some good eye contact with newborn sessions.
It's so important to preserve life's fleeting moments through beautiful photographs!
