I absolutely love being a Pittsburgh Family Photographer. I get to meet so many amazing families, and go to so many cool locations around Pittsburgh to preserve priceless memories for families!! How amazing is that? As you can tell from the majority of photos from my website, outdoor family photos usually take place in a park, but I was so excited when this family wanted their outdoor family session in Oakland around the University of Pittsburgh campus! There's something so beautiful about using architecture as the backdrop to a lifestyle family photo session.
This session is a great example of Lifestyle Photography. There's lots of interaction between family members - Hugs, laughs, kisses, and having fun.... my goal with every family session is to provide a gallery that shows your family's personality. I don't want to provide stiff, smiling pictures. I want to deliver pictures full of love and emotion. Because when you look back at the images from your family session, I want you to remember the feeling you had at your session. I want you to be transported back to that moment, to hear your son's laugh or feel your daughter's hug. I don't want you to be stressed that your kids weren't smiling at the camera or standing still. This is Lifestyle Photography. There's lots of movement and fun which is perfect for kiddos (and adults) who don't want to sit still. The candid moments. The sweet, in-between moments. In my opinion, that's where the best pictures come from, and as a mother, that's what I want to remember and preserve!
Now a little about this session. It was a cold day, but the three kiddos were all so great and had fun running around. I love when I get to venture down to Oakland for a lifestyle family session. We stayed around the Cathedral of Learning which was perfect for the little ones. We even got to venture into the Cathedral for a couple pictures.
